The National Mobility Equipment Dealers Association is a nonprofit trade association dedicated to expanding opportunities for people with disabilities to safely drive or be transported in vehicles modified with mobility equipment to fit their specific needs. The association represents vehicle dealers and manufacturers, as well as manufacturers and distributors of mobility equipment.

Because the association’s Quality Assurance Program is the only nationally recognized accreditation program for the adaptive mobility equipment industry. Basically, by choosing a NMEDA dealer, you can be confident the modifications to your vehicle — or the vehicle you’re looking at — are made in accordance with national motor vehicle safety standards.
