Apple Watch to Track Wheelchair Users’ Fitness
Move over, Fitbit; the Apple Watch will be counting wheelchair pushes and measuring wheelers’ fitness with an app update later this year. While many people have tried adapting fitness trackers to assess wheelchair activity instead of counting steps, there is nothing like technology set up for that very purpose. It will even calculate calories burned when you change surfaces, since wheeling on a rug uses more energy than gliding on a hardwood floor.
