Dear Member/New Mobility Reader,

I hope this letter finds you in good health, and that you are looking forward to sharing some holiday cheer with family and friends.

For United Spinal Association, this is the time of year when we take stock of our accomplishments and reach out to friends, colleagues, partners and philanthropic entities, asking that they keep United Spinal in mind as they consider their year-end donations.

Because you are a valued member and have a stake in the financial well-being of United Spinal Association, we are respectfully asking – if it’s within your means – to consider making a year-end donation to your organization. Your donation would help us continue to offer valuable news and insight within New Mobility magazine and support vital program activities such as:

• United Spinal’s New Beginning Backpack, which brings life-enhancing information and resources to newly injured individuals undergoing rehabilitation at specialty hospitals and rehabs throughout the country.

• United Spinal’s Resource Center, which provides peer and professional counseling and guidance and connects individuals with SCI/D to resources in their communities.

• United Spinal’s Public Policy efforts spearheaded by our Washington, D.C., office, which act as watchdog and advocate on important issues, such as complex rehab technology, “the right wheelchair,” length of rehab stays, and Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid.
