Dear Friends: FYI - We are now utilizing a better petition platform. We can't let the old (We the People/White House) petition barriers stop our efforts. We are going forward--lessons learned--full steam ahead!
Are you aware that no law exists in America to protect people with disabilities, who need parking accommodations for offloading wheelchairs from vans?
The law however, does provide that anyone having Handicapped licensing can park in a Van Accessible space (and of course, they do).
We have prepared a petition to the White House requesting an Executive Order--Establishing Development and Implementation of Handicapped Parking Regulations Protecting People with Disabilities, needing to Off-Load Wheelchairs from Vans.
Our goal is to obtain 25,000 signatures from people to be counted as citizens concerned about this issue. Because the flawed system effects people with disabilities nationwide, we anticipate gaining support from residents all over the USA,
Everyone in a wheelchair, who needs parking access for medical facilities, employment, schools, church, shopping, etc., should add their name to this groundbreaking petition, so that their need for parking accessibility will finally get the attention it deserves.
Won't you help us reach these goals?
1. Launch a nationwide petition campaign spread by word-of-mouth, news media, agencies, Email, mail, groups, and forums. Tell us how you will help! 2. An average of 500 people from each of the 50 states, signing to show their support 3. Obtain a minimum of 25,000 signatures before delivery to the White House 4. No longer will the parking needs of people who must off-load wheelchairs from vans, be disregarded
Please don't put it off! SIGN this Petition to the White House NOW:
