You don't believe in an afterlife, you don't believe in God, why do you say, "Rest in peace?"

And in similar fashion (although not at all the same ulterior motives) as Ghoti had with his posting "What is your view of the afterlife?"... :

What is your view of peace if you've no idea of an afterlife?
