For me, yes. Bottom line: I need constant mental stimulation, and if I don't get it, I go to boards that provide it. That's why I'm here. I like action. Don't know about other people, but that's me.
Besides PowerQuad, I go to 4 other boards, and this has always been the slowest and least active... but I made allowances since it's for gimps and none of the others are. However, NM's recent slow-down to the proverbial snail's pace has been extremely annoying; the complete decimation of the religion forum is a real loss to me.
I've never been any good at beating a dead horse.

I am on many message boards where people have diametrically opposite viewpoints - and argue their sides without resorting to ad hominem attacks. Why can't this happen more frequently here?
My wife believes this is because we all know each other TOO well and this is a relatively small board. Incestuous, in other words. Just like heated family squabbles.

Regardless of how good, bad, or indifferent things always were, NM was at least "a place" -- where people congregated, posted, laughed, cried, screamed, teased, taunted, shared, etc...
now...it's just kind of like a room that someone died in. You lock it up and only go into once in a while to try and feel some old memory.

Why do some people insist on making Xuxan a scapegoat? I think she's a bit too meddlesome but to blame her for the demise of this board is wrong.
Xuxan, it's clear that you have great intentions to help make the world a better place, while others complain and do nothing, and you should be applauded for that but you should probably focus your efforts elsewhere.
Some people put a gun to their head as a cry for help and some just want to kill themselves; you can't save the latter.

I don't come here much because my stress lvels tend to go up and that usually means painful days are ahead, I am downloading files and searching for stuff I want to read tomorrow. I am also preparing for a dental and another doctors apointment requesting an orthopaedic assessment. someone just arrived in chat.. tts been fun being reminded why this isn't worth the effort, think I will go chat...

Merry, I didn't post the person's name I quoted deliberately so that they would not feel it necessary to defend their position.
They have stated this is what they believe was the source of NM's success - how is that trashing them? I am giving people the opportunity to agree with the position stated. I tried to quote and ask 2 questions without swaying the outcome one way or the other.
