Mark I like you a lot and believe you are a smart man but you are wrong about Susan, she did have a hand in what happened here and is not being made the scapegoat.

Chairman makes a valid point... But many people were involve in the "behind-the-scenes" situation... and many people had their own hidden personal agendas,...... no big news flash :D, I know.

Why are you beating a dead horse?

For as long as I have been coming to NM, there have been some arguements. However, they never reached the breadth they do now. For the most part they fell into 2 catagories. A simple disagreement of differing views, and back then we had the devo squad that believed everyone but themselves were devos.
The 'fights' were much fewer and farther apart then, and most certainly never the mentality and actions (off this board and behind the scenes) they do now. And certainly not following users across the net and into their own homes. Not using a magnifying glass to look at photos or the mentality that would even conceive of doing such things.
And I credit a certain 'group' for that mentality and downward spiral. The list of these actions that I know of fills a disc.
Back then as well, we could joke, and have intelligent conversations and debate here, but seems those days are long gone save for some of the incipid that dominates now.
I do not blame Susan solely, I believe that was just the last straw from both she and her cohorts.
If NM had maintained itself as it used to be, Susans actions and attitudes would have just been a bump in the road.
And, this is just my opinion and my viewpoint, take it as such.

"Maintained itself" how, without moderation?

What should have been done instead, in your opinion?

still, on some of the chats, some still feel entitled to 'cry-baby' in the midst of dis issued talk. theres no hierarchy, no dis above dis, age above age, socio-economic-status (SES) above SES. it's mature conversation. emotional as well as rational conversation. it's not easy. that's why dis chats exist: air-it-out. but take responsibility for your emotions.

in other words, 'how mature old are you?'

Which chats do you refer to?

geeze...I am on the tail end of the flu and I was sure all this sh!te stirring was a dillusion..but nope...For goodness sake, if you want peace, Susan, why oh why are you adding to the stirring pot by posting a thread like this? that is what I do not understand...

Guys, my view is that the point is no longer whether or not XUXAN was at the pinacle of the downfall of NM, but it IS antagonistic behaviour to post PD's quote like that, it IS goading..yeah ?

I have missed much of the latest 'round' of sh!te slinging..but I have read this entire thread and this is my opinion.

I'll take a shot at answering.

What should have been done instead?

First - I would have told Xuxan to piss off and mind her own business.

Second - knowing that some changes were needed in regards to fakers and attacks getting out of hand I would have scheduled on online meeting (like the one Jeff had anyways) so that EVERYONE could come in and discuss what they thought needed fixing.

That's it, problem solved.

Oh...and on a side note, I would have told everyone that if they chose to phone NM's office complaining that they damn well better have a legit reason to do so, and if they didn't and the calls kept coming in THEY would get banned.

Which reminds me. I got a warning just recently because some more crybabies decided they had to phone NM's office to complain about mean old ParaDude again.

I defy anyone to show me even one post that I have made since NMs changes that would warrant a phone call to NM. Please include the thread that comment was made in so that I can show you at least 3 other posts in that thread that were far worse than anything I said.

That's pretty ironic and comical considering you were one of the main culprits that brought about these newfound changes.

Hmmm...I musta been sick that day. What did Merry do to bring about these new found changes? Besides of course leveling the playing field around here by letting everyone know what Xuxan was up to behind the scenes.

no offence to jeff or dave but "nm" is wherever the ppl are. susan isn't responsible for all the conflict. ppl don't always agree; i think disagreeing and arguement is healthy.

somebody called and complained about paradude again!? unless PD's messin behind the scenes, i.e., whatever, NM's problems are dwindling down to a few idiosyncratic freaks. just like in the chats. idiosyncratic behavior stands out.

Saying someone called a dozen times sounds tame in comparison.
