not really susan
i know i've been involved in the lastest events here at NM, but i am not happy at all that i had to be , in order to stand up for a friend. i wish i didn't have to do that because those are not the kind of posts i'd like to send
i've met great ppl here @ NM and i am thankful for that.
i know that the saying " can't we all just get along" is an utopia, there will be always disagreements , but the support , kindness,advice and strenght of ppl should speak louder than the feuds and soap operas
just my 2 cents

Yes... but keep in mind that "soaps" are not always feuds or fights. Sometimes, they are just soaps.
Do you agree with this?
Is the what you want NM to be in the future?
Future?  What future?
If things don't pick up here, won't be any future.

There have always been fights on NM. People have opinions that other people disagree with. Fights ensue.
By allowing complainers, liars and cry babies to determine who is warned or banned, unfortunately, NM has created a safe haven for the very posters that cause the majority of the problems and disruption. I no longer recommend NM to people because of this new bias.
Susan, lurking at PQ, quoting a poster from there in hopes he would be trashed here is instigating a fight. Do you want him to post here so you can complain if your baiting works?
Many long time posters went to PQ as their primary board as a direct result of our opposition to you and your attempts to gain control. We didn't leave because of the fighting, we left because of your sick need to control and your behind the scenes attempts to destroy NM. You should be proud of yourself - you have almost succeeded in destroying NM. Seek professional help.

Yup if you are going to quote me at least give me the credit. Also you might include some of the other things I said in regards to NM.
NM has always had conflict, feuds, soaps, and those threads get viewed and commented on many times a day. I said those things were "a part" of what made NM's message board the success that it WAS.
Think of the fighting as the SALES flyer that draws people into the store, once there the people also buy other items as well.
If you want proof of the fact that the heated debates and feuds are IN PART the reason people come here to read and post, just take a look at the threads that get the most VIEWS here. It certainly isn't the LAME ASS recipe games certain wannabes post to try and make things more popular.
Again, and probably not for the last time, NM was doing just fine before you came along, before the whiners took over, yes some changes needed to be made, yes we needed to make sure people didn't create new alias' just for the purpose of personal attacks, and yes, the personal attacks needed to be harnassed in as well.
Other than that, NM was doing just fine and had been for a long time before YOU ever showed up.

Susan, I am saying this out of kindness, leave this alone. NM users have spoken, Jeff L. has spoken. I would have liked a discussion on some minor controls but got no support and accept that is because NM users want things to stay the same. If you keep picking at this scab before it heals you will, I beleive, find your existence here very uncomfortable and you do offer something to NM, so please think about this before it gets ugly.

maybe i didn't phrase it right , but i have no regrets whatsoever of what i said in my posts
my conscience is clean and i think i did the right thing standing up for my friend. that's me and that's what i believe is right and i'd like my friend , a true friend to do the same thing , though i wouldnt expect them to do it , every person is different , but that's what makes life interesting.
to me, there obviously will be disagreements in the future , but i think ppl could agree to disagree and keep the conversation on a high level , without personal attacks. thats what ruins everything , in my opinion

Merry, I didn't post the person's name I quoted deliberately so that they would not feel it necessary to defend their position.
They have stated this is what they believe was the source of NM's success - how is that trashing them? I am giving people the opportunity to agree with the position stated. I tried to quote and ask 2 questions without swaying the outcome one way or the other.
I am on many message boards where people have diametrically opposite viewpoints - and argue their sides without resorting to ad hominem attacks. Why can't this happen more frequently here?
What do you care if people agree with Dan's position or not - a position that he posted AND that was responded to at PQ. You wanted to start a fight, pure and simple. Your hypocrisy is disgusting.
Why isn't NM like the sanitized sites you frequent? Because NM was unique and had a spirit not found anywhere else - until your insane behind the scenes lies and manipulations. Your few supporters speak volumes about your unethical tactics. Your hypocrisy is disgusting.

Probably. We had all of the above and more until the past year and NM was alive and well. The past year has been a spiral into hell between waring factions and got so bad that almost every post was infected by it, in one way or another.
We were fine up until that point, and most things ironed themselves out. That might have meant that one, or both parties left the board for awhile, and it got unbelievably ugly, but it pretty much ironed itself out.
True democracy. Surely you can appreciate that?

No she does not appreciate that, if she did then when the vast majority of people at NM spoke up and said "NO" to Xuxan's involvement she would have graciously stepped aside. Her own ego made it impossible for her to respect the request of everyone here. Perhaps if she had, things might have turned out different.
