Youy might rethink that Susan, lawyers work all the time. My brother is a lawyer, so is my husband. My husband quit practicing law to have a more meaningful life with The Boys & Girls Club. He's much happier.
I would have gotten a Business degree, instead of Psychology. I had to learn about business the hard way.

Made lots of mistakes:
But if I were able to take one back-I would not have had my third surgery when I was 15...
It lead to nine straight months of leg spasams and no one could tell us why..Those nine months happened to be most of my Jr. year of HS so my grades sliped and that impacted which colleges I could get into
I finaly got correctly diagnosed and the spasams under control..
But I never re-gained any of the enintal gains of the surgery and I have always wonderd how stuff might have been different.
Life goes on-right..

My mom got her masters in Physical Therapy one month before I graduated HS I was so so proud of her and still am whenever I think of that day

Would have waited another 6 months or a yr to get married in order to have given Kirk's young daughters more time to "adjust" to the situation.
And possibly a couple of employment opportunities that seemed too risky at the time, but in retropect likely would have been more satisfying personally, instead of taking the "security" route.

I would have listened to my brain telling me it was stupid, too cold, snowy, and not really having a destination on Feb 6, 1970. But no, I went out anyway looking for adventue. I finally grasped the extent of that mis-step a month later. I had previously begun to get real about the importance of school. I'm always late. That decision only came when taking older sis to college the previous Sept. dash

I would have and may still pursue my art. Throw caution to the wind and paint emotionally rather then decoratively. Not care about what might sell but what I would like to express.

I just want to cut LOOSE and paint my introspections, trials and tribulations.
I have a new table, new brushes, new paints, canvases,,,,,,i just need the motivation. I've been in a rut too long.

Lorrie, if you can paint your introspections right now, when a lot seems to be happening all at once with you, it might be really interesting to look back at them in a few years. I'm so unartistically natured, it amazes me when people just produce something from within.

It generally passes with time. Hope ya get ta doing some stuff,, I always like ta see ppl's work. ,,,joe..

If you could change one decision you made in your life....
I usually look forward in life than to look back at shoulda, woulda and coulda...
but seeing this thread...
In my younger days I had this notion "hard work never killed anyone" and I lived such, I worked overtime perpetually, even through holidays, at the same time I worked out pushing myself hard (only gym rat work out at Gold's Gym open overnight), got involved in social work, blah blah blah... needless to say I slept little
I would say it stressed my body and aged me physically and to this day I carry its scars...
So if I was to redo it I'd definitely slow it down enough to enjoy the rideā¦
