Its not that the surgery hasnt been done before. It has been done before the problem is that it hasn't been done on a choreo athetotic/dystonic CP before. My particular type of cp is rare so this will be experimental, they willhave to use dopamine supressents all of which have side effects some are highly addictive and valium.

Wow...from the title I thought Dowdy died or something...glad that's not the case.
They have been doing those anterior cervical disc surgeries for many many years. I've never known of anyone dying or even getting worse after one...most people have really good results.
Hope you are much improved after the procedure.
Is it weird writing to someone who refuses to come here any more and won't be reading all these posts???

I have no intention of coming back here or power quad and no updates on my progress or other wize is going to be posted here or at steves. I didn't want to post anything of my condition but susan convinced me to allow her to. Your so called support has been to put susan down when she was the one who convinced me to allow her to post here. I had already informed the people I wanted to know of what was happening all accept mrsoul. I was going to send him an email the next day. THanks for this reminder of the way this board works. so see ya ..
