dowd has been e'ing me, i know him personally. stayed at my house twice. he does not hate sci's.
known him for yrs.

he has done more than most of us in dis studies. he ruined his health traveling the u.s. talking to dis activists/writers, etc. and just hangin out with nobodies like me. he writes papers a lot find boring, but so what?

this while thing is really upsetting to me. so you don't like the messenger? geez, i coulda posted same thing, dowdy is hurting, folks. do ya need know more? i've seen more empathy to fakers (before outed) than this.

ok. done w/rant. please. don't let messenger blind ya to a long time friend/poster's fear and pain. please.

Yeah, people protested a moderated board by... decamping to a HEAVILY moderated board.

I mentioned this surgery (keeping an athetoid person in a coma) on a CP listserv; it's pretty controversial. It's no wonder he is afraid, but I have to say, I don't know what else he should do, at this point.

You can't have someone moving around during the healing process. It's the major reason Dowdy's figures were skewed. He kept saying people with CP don't live long, and I said one reason is the fact that athetoid people couldn't tolerate certain surgical interventions (heart bypasses, etc) that require long recovery times. Sorry, people, I don't see what any of this has to do with Dowd or his upcoming surgery. It's just more distraction from what he's going through.

Well, it upset me when Merry said it; I knew I couldn't be the cause of ALL the fighting.

I waited until I could be sure of this before saying so; arguing DOES continue in my absence.

What it has to do with Dowdy, is that he would suggest this is due to who I am. Similar behavior is tolerated by the in-group, and that's okay. (Some animals are more equal than others.) Moderation is only the most obvious recent example.

I used to doubt Philip about this and tried to argue him out of it; I no longer do.

Yes it's a great place isn't it? You might think having something in common would draw a group of people together. About half here do try to help & support each other. Too bad the other half are jackals in sheep suits waiting in the wings for any sign of weakness.
