Just an FYI - in the U.S. you are entitled to a free copy of your credit report. The Free Credit Report Act allows you to get one copy of your credit report from EACH of the three major credit reporting agencies - every 12 months.
The U.S. government has a FAQ about the program at: http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/conline/pubs/credit/freereports.htm
The above link does provide a link to the online method of getting the free reports from https://www.annualcreditreport.com/cra/index.jsp
There are MANY similarly worded websites, which may provide you a credit report - but then sign you up for a credit monitoring service. Don't fall for them.
The above site (www.annualcreditreport.com) complies with the law. The reports are free, within the confines of the law - there will only be a charge if you wish to also get your credit score.
Enjoy.
