You bet I am.
So what do you suppose was the case at Romney's fundraiser there....do you suppose there was not a supporter in the room who had a family member or friend who was disabled or back from service with disability? NO...I'm sure that someone there was disabled or thought about the rest of the US who IS.
Heck, I wonder just how many Americans are in this doughnut hole or whatever hole they want to call it where they have to work say 75% of the time because their employer (and doctor) has determined they Can get the 25% disability because of their rheumatoid arthritis. And they hurt but they know they gotta work that 75% or they lose their insurance.
How many years have I listened to the bitching (most entirely by the liberals) of this board (now at some other board) how we are victims of the system. Damned if you do work and DAMNED if you DON'T. victims....but now we are insulted by Romney's putting it the way he did.
How OFTEN has the liberals of this board pointed their fingers at a poster and told them NOT TO PLAY THE VICTIM................well, lol, truth IS, the liberals here at NM used that tire-filled tactic only because they didn't have anything to stand up for, themselves, and ONLY because they felt themselves a victim of this society. YUP> truth. it's why we heard the bitching so much. true or false...the I am a victim here was well received when it came to bitching about the 'system'.

How many folk in the country do you suppose have arthritis? I sure do have it after 30+ years of disability. Not a soul there at the fundraiser who's hair didn't stand up a little bit by his remark because they themselves had arthritis...or some other unseen dis? well....sure, but there's so much at stake other than how eloquently Romney said what he did.
And what a very idiotic thing to say that any American has disdain for the disabled or particularly a soldier who serves our country.
Get off it.
Maybe this Is his way...........
we have a # of undecideds and the Ron Paul folk who want specifics to come out of the mouth of Romney & Ryan are possibly going to vote Obama if they Don't give us some specifics as to how to turn the economy around. So Romney maybe knew he was talking there at his fundraiser to his hardcore conservatives.
how long did it take for Obama to get specific about healthcare overhaul? how many times did the Republicans have specifics brought to the table in the beginning, only to have President Obama flat out turn it down?

Maybe, as well as having a potential president who knows what he wants and where he stands............WE need to show up at the polls knowing where WE STAND.

No, I'm a hard core liberal for the simple reason that to the best of my knowledge, every single right, privilege, and freedom this country affords me was fought for and won by liberals, over the vehement objections of conservatives who wanted those rights, privileges, and freedoms reserved for ONLY the elite.
Where are the hot spots in the world today? The current anti-American protests in the Arab wsorld are in countries where conservatives rule with an iron hand. They are in countries where you can do nothing without government permission so the people there can't believe anyone in this country has the freedom to post a film about the Prophet Muhammad. In their minds our government MUST have sanctioned it.
Where would black people be if liberals had not fought for their right to be free instead of in slavery?
Where would women and minorities be if liberals had not fought for their rights to own property, get good educations, and vote?
Conservatives in many states are trying to remove voters who MIGHT vote liberal from the rolls.
Read biographies of people like Dolly Madison, Elizabeth Blackwell, Ephram McDowell, Hector Garcia, and Sojourner Truth. Try to understand what their worlds must have been like before liberals took a stand. They are not worlds I would want to live in. Would you?
As far as I can tell, we liberals are still trying to expand rights for everyone and conservatives are still trying to make the world a fit place for only the top 1 percent!
If we don't win the world won't be worth living in!

So you are for tax cuts for rich while we the disabled and old folks take on more cuts to medicare to pay for it?
That 47% of the people he does not care about even though you are one of them.

Appearantly, if we use ronduh for an example (as well as any rightwing talkshow pundits), a "hardcore conservative" just spews a bunch of unfounded rhetoric then walks away with no accountability when challenged... Basically they're nothing more than a bunch of politically challenged spoiled little flakes...

I hope libertarian or Independents will vote this time around by voting either B. Obama or Romney and not vote by their party. All these votes are vital to the next 4 years and will determine how our country will either be gone....or able to recover.
