Your best bet is figure out what your calorie intake should be to maintain your current weight-500 calories. This is the amount of calories you should aim for in a day. You will lose 1lb a week. If you add excercise you will lose more faster. Do it the healthy right way.

I recommend the healthy way too. Try going on Daily Plate http://www.livestrong.com/ build yourself a profile it will walk you through it. Once you put all info into the area it would ask you what are you trying to loose one or two pounds a week then after you shared that with them it will tell you what your calorie intake should be in order to loose the set weight. I enjoy this site because you keep a food journel you can look up your favorite foods or create a receipe that will give you the nutrition facts for that meal. You will see the pounds fade away I am currently using this method It keeps me focus on what I can and can't eat, how many calories I have consumed and how many I have left for the day. You have six categories Breakfast, morning snack, Lunch, afternoon snack, dinner and night snack. after time you would have built yourself a pantry list of all the food you eat frequently. I also allows you to track your daily exercise and let you know how much you have burnt. Keep in mind that every little thing we do helps with exercise I am a T12 been in the chair for 30 yrs, two weeks before my 21st birthday, I have two daughters, one I had after being in the chair. I keep myself very active work a full time job and always on the go doing something. So get active enjoy the life that were living. I am 5'7 and beleive me I know how hard it is to keep the weight off, but I keep on going. Hope this helps you.

Not sure what your disablity is ... But getting some regular exercise is best. I would suggest a handcycle and/or weight lifting if possible. A high protein low carb diet works for me.

You might also do a Google search for

doctor oz alton brown superfoods

Alton Brown, host of Good Eats on the Food Network, was on the Doctor Oz show this week (12/21/11 -- it may have been a rerun) and told how he lost 50 pounds. Granted, he is able bodied, but his secret was eating foods that are nutritionally dense instead of calorie dense. Depending on your mobility you might have to adjust the AMOUNTS to control calorie intake, but the list of the foods, themselves, should give you some idea of where to start.

Well there are so many foods which you can take to reduce and also help to lose fats from you body . Fruits , Vegetables Fish and all those foods which are free from fats are the best from health point of view and also fruitful in fat reduction but you also have to get some exercises such as running and swimming .

Don't overelook the fact that some drugs (both prescription and OTC either on their own or in combinations) can cause weight gain. Check with BOTH your doctor and pharmacist to see if that could be true in your situation. If any of your prescription drugs can do that, perhaps your doctor would consider trying another drug. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES should you discontinue taking a prescription drug on your own!
