If you haven't do it!!

I've been suffering through stage 4 uncers for about 5 years now and they get better then get worse or get to a plateau and just stop healing.

A good friend of mine who is also a RN suggested it so I researched it online and decided to try it.

My doctor was amazed at the progress since I started this dressing. I can't tell the doctor I am not abiding by his orders but he also tells me keep doing whatever you are doing!!

Just thought I'd pass this on. Don't trust me, Google "Betadine and Sugar" and you will be amazed also.

Thanks for the info. I have been suffering from a wound for 9 years now. I will see about giving this a try.

Welcome to NM.

I didn't do a Google search, but here is a piece from The People's Pharmacy newspaper column about it. Be sure to note the last sentence in case it DOESN'T work for you.

Please report the results of your experiment as it will surely interest others.

A friend (C6-7 quad) said that his podiatrist suggested Amerigel for a persistent pressure sore on his foot and that it worked well. I don't know how well it would work on other areas but it might be worth a try. It is available from the manufacturer, Amazon, and ebay as well as many retail outlets.
