I have had an issue using my on-screen keyboard to type in a password to log into an online game. It's all detailed in the screenshot (below, messages start from the bottom of the picture) I took from the tech support site. In short, they say that the game doesn't support on-screen keyboards (even though I've been playing 5 to 6 years and have used the on-screen keyboard for typing). I'll post updates when possible.
I could use some advice on if there's a better way to reach a solution, or if there's anything else I should do.

Sony is notorious for abusing their paying customers.
They have been caught red-handed infecting their customers' computers with rootkits.
They have been caught not taking proper measures to secure their customers' private financial and personal data that they store on their servers.
They have deliberately broken their customers' personal property by transmitting forced updates to the customers' products that disable features of the product that the customers have already paid for.
Anyone who does business with Sony after all of their misdeeds have been widely publicized should not be surprised by the indifference and hostility that they have for their customers.
My suggestion is to leave Sony Online Entertainment and spend your money with a company that treats you as a valued customer.

what are you doing here anita? you seem far too bright, articulate and grounded to be hanging around these parts. maybe your signature picture is a good indicator.

Thanks for the replies. Here's an update screenshot below. Short version, I was told to buy a keyboard with bigger letters, so I explained I have a mobility issue not a sight issue.

As I stated in my first response, the issue is that Sony doesn't care about you and doesn't value your business. They have, for reasons known only to them, or perhaps just on a whim, decided to stop supporting the on-screen keyboard technology.
You seem to be in a bit of denial about it, as many sufferers of abused customer syndrome often are. The sooner you face the fact that you are in a relationship with a serial abuser and leave them, the better off you will be.
There may or may not exist a workaround solution, but I am not aware of any at the moment, and even if I were, I would not provide free technical support to Sony's customers when they themselves have told you that they don't support customers like you, which means that they will accept your money if you are foolish enough to give it to them, but don't expect anything in return for it.

Greg, I arrived here while doing research for a project that I was working on. It was obvious to me that the forum was dying, but nonetheless I needed to join and participate to a limited extent in order to complete my research. When my research goals were met, I continued participating occasionally because I could see that some people still come here earnestly seeking help with serious issues.
I wouldn't describe my participation here over the last few years as hanging around, because I usually don't engage in discussions with the regulars, or involve myself in the nonsense that often takes place here.
I usually just come once in a while and look to see if some newcomer needs help with a serious issue and doesn't realize that they are asking for help in a dead forum.
Other than that, I occasionally post when I see something posted that is obviously incorrect factually, and I consider the topic important enough to warrant the correction.

I'm not in denial about anything here. As I said to Sony, who does seem to be in denial an on-screen keyboard ever worked, I can still use it in their game, just not to type in a password (Have to get someone else to if I unclick "Save Password", however I would like to type it for memorization purposes). I am looking for a straight answer from them, but at this point I doubt I'll get one.
