In most civilized countries of the world, skin colour is only seen as a physical characteristic. I wonder why it features so predominently in US culture? Does it really all go back to slavery? Maybe so due to fact that what americans hold so dear in the complete antithesis of slavery. Sad, so sad.

I never heard the term cracker til I moved to NC. I almost admitted that they were my downfall at night...I could eat a whole pack of them with butter on top.
here's an all honesty: also where I live (my residence) I enjoy mostly the blacks over the whites...by far they are more fun and they consider me their bud. Sorta true of fat people too...they generally are fun & funny, over the non-fat people. dunno why. I think I became way funnier after my accident than before -- I use to take life way too serious. Saw so many things in rehab that cracked me up and will never forget as some of the best belly laughs I've ever had. weird (I know, I'm on a totally different traintrack than you with this post.)
