Since I have been on Medicare they have paid for the eye health exam by an opthalmologist (M.D. or O.D.) but not for an exam by an optometrist (D.O.). They also have not paid for the refractory part of the exam which is where you look at an eye chart through different lenses to see which glasses you need.

Medicaid eats up over 25% of most state budgets. People who can work shoud support their children rather than depend on the tax payers.
I pay over 25% of my income for health care costs.Medical costs for those of us who work are sky rocketing to compensate for the low reimbursement rate from Medicaid patients. Medical professionals have to earn a living too! Remember that the next time a nurse or Dr is tending to you at 3am on a weekend!
