Nobody wants to think about being punished for their wrong doings,
I do. I think about it all the time. It's what keeps me in line. lol
That statement was mostly true. I think about my sins of past more than just a little.
Jesus, when they came to Him with a woman who had slept around (I think that was her sin) and told Jesus he needed to punish her and such...He instead of dealing with her...asked who amongst them had not sinned. And they ALL ended up leaving but the woman and Jesus stood alone, together. He simply told her to go and not sin.
Have I got it wrong or did He say something like even he, himself, could not judge (and so why were they trying to judge the woman sinner)...that it took two witnesses of another's crime/sin to be able to judge and so, in God...when He got with God, THEN 'together' HE would pass judgment. It's part of the whole union of Jesus and God as One. Which, I found interesting...and makes me think differently than I have in the past. Or, it helps to further understand why God the Father, and Jesus, the Son, are One.
I believe in justice...justice will be passed on me. I've always said I felt I would be going to Hell...but it will be a short trip, and then I'll be freed to join all in Heaven. But now I wonder if I believe in purgatory or not..purgatory is different than Hell. Right? depending on your religious belief?
