Well, you must admit that the track record certainly isn't very good and lots of people in the past obviously believed a lie. Are they all doomed because of it?

They are not doomed if they accepted Christ. The lie that damn's eternally is the one the anti christ tells. He hasn't come along yet. If you under stood the gospel you would not have these questions because it is not a book of mythology and old wives tails as you suppose but is the living word of God! Paul

Those are trying to convert others to their beliefs might heed this passage, as well:

We've all heard your message over and over, and those of us who choose to reject it are not likely to be converted. We understand that you hold your beliefs strongly but so do most of the rest of us.
If you can't respect that, at least "shake the dust" and let it go.
