Watched a 1/2 hour program of San Diego. I'd really would love to to move there. So much to do- Balboa Park, parasailing, beaches, amusement parks, tons of museums in Balboa Park, seafood, sailing- everything a person could want.

Exactly!
Not to mention the climate (no humidity!), the mountains an hour's drive away, and the desert 90 minutes away.

Yeah, I lived in San Diego, El Cajon to be exact, but worked in San Diego. Its terribly expensive and the traffic is horrible, not to mention not finding a parking spot when you do get to all those cool places. Its a great place to visit but I wouldn't want to live there. I think. I might still be there if I hadn't been living with someone who hated California so much. I loved my job there. The weather was fantastic, but really, there are too many people there, all the time, even in the middle of the night.

Maybe it will stay a dream. As a kid in the midwest in the 50's California was totally a dream- hot rods, surfing, chicks, Beach Boys, Hollywood, eventually Disneyland, all bigger than life with the media, movies, etc and so yet totally out of reach so as to be like a fantasy land. I guess it's imprinted some where in the back of my mind as an unreachable dream the surfaces occasionally.
