You get the thing on an Rx and it is set up by a nurse or someone trained to use them---if they can heal a huge ulcer in the bottom of my foot and a partial foot amputation (two different feet on same body!) it can heal pretty much anything! I had skin grafts on both of these and the WoundVac goes back on after the graft to ensure proper attachment and so the graft does not dry out. Absolutely AMAZING what this can do. I know it has been used very successfuly for deep ulcers (to bone) and other issues (C-Section wounds are common uses) but some MD's seem to be in the "Dark Ages" about it. You can also re-grow skin with this, for feet and for what I had that might have been an option but closing the things up was more important. And those "Flap" ops are---hmmmm---welll---let's just say I have been warned off of them. And the WoundVac is totally PORTABLE---goes over your shoulder or hangs on a chair and has a re-charge battery with long life. You can disconnect to shower etc too.
Did I see someone is going to be in NH for NEXT years Bike Week? Look for the "Bumble Bee" Valkyrie!!!!! That will be me on the back!

welcome to NM and ty for this post
