Hello all. I am Dave and new to New Mobility.

I am also a pastor of a Bible Church and love to talk to others and socialize. I find my disability often gives me the open door for discipleship. Mostly with children. When I am in the grocery store or mall and a child will point and say 'what's wrong with him, why does he use that?" The mother or father normally says "Shh, don't stare, it's not nice" and drags the child away. Before they do, I try to approach and introduce myself and tell them about me and educate them a bit. See, I am not just a disciple for Christ but also for the Disabled advocacy. Most of the time it works just fine.

I don't know how many times I have been told "I don't know how you can believe when God has mad you disabled and caused you so much pain" I simply answer that I never ask why me, I only ask why NOT me.

SO, if anyone here ever needs prayers, questions answered, or a friendship, let me know. I am happy to lend a hand, or shoulder.

God Bless You all.

Put on your hardhat, safety glasses and kevlar vest if you are
going to post on this particular forum. It can get pretty rough.

Welcome from me, as well. There are many here who approach spirituality from directions other than traditional Christianity, myself included, and there's much diversity even among the Christian believers.

Civil discussion with mutual respect is always welcome, but strong proselytizing is almost guaranteed to generate resistance.
