Paulwa, the constitution specifically says that there shall never be any religious test to hold any office in the US. IMO that's absolute proof that the founders did NOT intend for this to be a Christian nation.
Otherwise, why would they have said that?

Plenty of reason....you simply choose not to think about it. Yes, Ronda, and I'll keep repeating it every time some ignorant person says this was intended to be a Christian nation, since it's absolute proof that the founders never wanted that. Otherwise this clause wouldd NEVER have been included in the constitution.

Ghoti there are plenty words from the founding fathers proving this nation was run with Judeo Christian love and principles. You just don't want to believe the numerous proofs when you find a skinny root to hang on to to make your point. There is a reason that line was included in the consgitution because they were of several denominations and faiths but most all of them were preachers and preached regularly in the congress during off hours.

It was put into the constitution because the founding fathers had all seen the horrors of mixing religion with politics first hand, and they were determined to make sure it would never happen here. IMO they'd be appalled by people with your attitude.

The 9/11 attack killed about 3000 of our people in the Twin Towers. They were a cross-section of the US public, and al-Queda was NOT attacking Christianity. They were attacking the United States because they are opposed to our entire way of life here.
Remember they they also tried to also tried to hit the Pentagon with one of the hijacked planes, but that one failed to make a direct hit. If they were aiming their attack solely at Christians, they would have blown up churches and not symbols of our philosophy like the Twin Towers and our military headquarters.
It's a HUGE mistake to think that the Islamic terrorists hate us because of religion. They hate our entire approach to modern life, and it's because their radical view of Islam is based on a more primitive view of life locked into the middle ages. They hate our movies, out TV programs, our music, our financial institutions, our capitalism, our militarism, our modern view of women and gender equality, and all the other ways our lifestyle clashes with theirs.
They want the world to give up all modern ways and return to their primitive lifestyle. They hate ALL people who don't agree with them, not just Christians.
That's who they are really at war with, not the Christian religion.

On an aside if you compared what God said about Jerusalem at the end of the age, how can you say He is not right. Things are going exactly as He said it would. Jerusalem He has made to be a burdensome stone for all nations concerned. Sure looks right to me.

Paulwa, people have been finding Bible quotes that convinced them that Jesus was returning any day now for nearly 2000 years now and their predictions have always been false. Jack Van Impe himself made such a prediction himself many years ago and it was, of course, wrong. I don't know how you can contour to listen to anything he says after that.
You made such a prediction yourself a few years ago that probed wrong - remember? IMO your credibility as a predictor has been proven bogus, too, so I feel very confident in disbelieving you any time now and in the future when you do it again.
You realize, I hope, that I was explaining what the Islamic terrorists believe and not what all Islamic people believe. The vast majority of Muslims, especially those live in the US and most other places outside of a few middle eastern countries, accept and embrace the developments of the modern world. The go to movies, own and enjoy a TV, and have zero interest in living in middle age condition like the small group of extremists do.
Most Islamic people just want to left alone to live their lives in peace, and if we'd stop intervening in their affairs they'd gladly leave us alone.
