more and more i hear, 'you can't change my beliefs,' as if it's something to be proud of. spirituality, religion was once a path of discovery, of growth and movement, not minimal sound bite set maintainence and defense. our country is becoming the most spiritually stupid place on earth. you should want those that the infinite has placed in your life to be transformational. you should want people to change your beliefs. it's called learning.

Personally, I find it boring to just talk to people who totally agree with me on everything. I have learned FAR more from people who disagree, as long as the conversations can stay reasonably civil.
If I hold a belief or idea that I can't defend when it's questioned by others then I definitely need to rethink my positions.

The politicalization of religon by Bush, Palin and those beholding to the Christain right I find disgusting, the amplification of the terrorism by Bush/Cheney to be a religous expression by Islam transformed what should have been a criminal issue into a religous crusade. It is no suprise to me a NYC cabbie was knifed by a drunken "true christain" for the sole reason he was a Muslim.

I can see no good whatsoever coming from our government..it is a hopeless transformation taking place. A destruction of America. True it did need some real change but only a change rooted in cleaning up capitalism from the thugs robbing Americans who have taken root inour government. We have just changed capitalistic thugs for progressive liberal thugs out of Chicago. It is just like the thugs who have taken over many of Amerca's labor unions that have brought down America's dreams and turned them into nightmares.
When it comes down to illegal imigration I would choose Mexico over Arab/Islam any day. America as we know it from its glorious past has disappeared forever.

Better bury it Flicka, Obieama is going to be looking for every sheckel he can find to make government payroll soon. We be going broke very fast now. Did you see where our beloved incumbents have voted themselves a nice raise in both houses? But nothing for the sheep. Let them eat grassroots and some others can just smoke it and let the world go by in a purple haze.:-)

Poor Paulwa and other conservatives. Change is scary, even when change is necessary to survive.
This administration - thank God! - is focusing on being responsible to individuals instead of businesses. It is dramatic and many people are terrified - especially the power brokers. Not new, it happens when a stong forward thinking progressive gets into office - FDR, Kennedy/Johnson ... now Obama. 
Fasten your seat belts, its gonna be a bumpy ride!
