Increasing number of Americans say Obama is Muslim
An increasing number of Americans believe Obama is a Muslim, according to a new poll by the think tank Pew Research Centre. The share of Americans who believe the president is Muslim has increased from 12 per cent in 2008 to 18 per cent today.

Obama has said he is Christian and there has been nothing to refute that. I think he should know more than anyone else what he believes. But like Wanda says, what does it matter?
Some folks are saying this is what the "birthers" are latching onto now since they lost - the leader went all the way to the Supremes and lost - she has to pay a fine ($20,000 I think) for filing a frivolous law suit claiming Obama is not a citizen. LOL

no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States.

I read a piece by a Muslim - very funny - where he is bragging that Obama is so obviously a Muslim - he must be because 20% of Americans say he is. Forget the fact that Obama says he is Christian. Or the fact that he attended a Christian church for 20+ years and then the Rev. Wright break. Forget that Obama drinks beer (forbidden in Islam). Or that Obama eats pork (forbidden in Islam). Or that Obama has not been in a mosque the entire time he has been in office. Or the fact that Obama has appointed women to top positions in his administration. Or that he nominated a Jewish woman to the Supreme Court. Yes, he is obviously a Muslim.

IMO Barach Hussein Obama is a Muslim in his heart and a Communist sympathizer. He only says he is christian as a front but his form of christianity as spouted by his Reverend wright is a form of christianity no other American christians would accept on a stack of bibles as it goes against thhe very gospel Jesus gave us. Obama's christianity believes his salvation will happen only when collectively all others are saved. Collective salvation is the ant theses of true individual salvation. Obam does not follow the words of Jesus who says He is the truth and the life and the only way to heaven and God. Obama says there are many paths to God going totally against the statements of the Son of God. I think he does not believe in hell either, but he will when he gets there.

If you believe that Christ's sacrifice is what allows us grace, then you know all that is needed. The path is broad, but the gate is narrow. Jesus is that gate. If Obama believes that Christ died for his sins, the gate is open to him.

Has Obama EVER been seen worshiping in a mosque? Has anyone EVER seen him get out a mat and pray five times a day facing Mecca?
Does Michele wear a burka? Do his children?
He has done nothing that would indicate he is Muslim and many things over the past 20+ years to indicate he his Christian - incluing being married in a Christian Church and having his children baptized as Christians.
I never realized how scared people are of change till Obama was elected and these lies about him started being so widely believed. Makes me sad how easily people give up common sense when filled with hate and fear.

The present administration are mostly from the filthy Chicago political machine that everyone is aware of and they are on a track to bankrupt not only us but our great grand children. They have set a path that has destroyed our workforce because businesses will not hire anyone with all the financial insecurity Obama has caused with 'progressive' bad policies he has set in place. I don't think we will recover our financial base and remain the America we have been.
Still waiting for the ball to get to the plate MerryA. Only have one strike so far. :-)

Paulwa, please remember that this whole mess was started by the previous administration, and Obama's task is incredibly difficult and thankless. I can't imagine why anyone would want his job right now, since it IMO it may take a generation to fix things.

Everybody has known that the aging of the baby boomers would result in rising health costs and a huge increase in social security expenses when we all started retiring, along with reduced income tax revenues. I recall people saying over 30 years ago that we should be creating a social security "lock box" by raising taxes and putting that money aside in anticipation.
Instead of that, we've been doing the exact opposite over the last 30 years - cutting income taxes while baby boomers were in their prime earning years and running deficit spending at the federal level. It's now all coming home to roost, and we are seeing the consequences of that foolishness.
Blaming Obama when he's only been in office for 18 months is ridiculously short-sighted, but some people are gullible enough to believe it.

Yes, they're strirring up emotional issues so they can avoid talking about how they propose to fix the economy, and that's what the next two elections should really be about. The mosque in New York and illegal immigration are the typical smokescreen issues that the republicans have been using for years so they won't have to tell people what they real agendas are.

Paulwa, do you really think the republicans will do any better? You seem to forget it was their policies that got us into this mess. The economy was booming under Clinton and started tanking after Bush took over and got worse and worse over his entire 8 years in office.
I haven't heard a single new idea from the republicans or the Tea Party on how they'd do things differently than they did under Bush.

Clinton raised taxes on the wealthy and the deficit disappeared while the economy boomed. Bush cut taxes on the wealthy and the deficit exploded while the economy tanked. The economy is more complex than that, but there's a lesson there.

I didn't vote for him and take no credit or anything else from what he does. He is destroying whether by chance or by thought. I don't know how honest he is but I do know he lies. I don't like him personally because of his political views and what he wants to do to this country in spite of his so called popularity and great speach making. All those who do not like his agenda will work to remove him and his people at the ballot box. Just hope we find someone without progressive agfenda's to take over and drag us from the brink. I am not sure it will be possible. No I don't claim him as my personal presidential choice by any means and don't think I ever will.Though I had hoiped he might change his agenda and put America first...he hasn't! The size of the group of people standing against his agendas proves that.

America that stole half a continent from its inhabitants, that killed with brother against brother to be able to own slaves, that
invaded Viet Nam and Iraq probably because someone told two presidents that a war will guarantee re-election? A country where poor people just die for lack of health care and substandard living conditions. Believe what you want but the USA
may finally be beginning to overcome its need for violence. A lot of the soldiers coming home see things a lot differently than before they left.
Thank God he is trying to change America.

People are afraid of change even when the current way of doing things is failing. Obama is change. Even folks who voted for him didn't realize he would actually change things like he said he would.
Shifting government responsibility to the middle class and the poor and away from big business is shaking people up - especially big business.
Obama is doing what he said he would do and people aren't used to a politician following through.

Boy I don't see him that way at all, Ronnie. He makes us think and says not to take his word for anything. Without him, there would just be sludgy thinking followers like lemmings. I don't know how mormons will be judged by Jesus Christ and wouldn't even think of saying whether they are saved or not. That is between them and God.
