The guy from the Fox tv show Redeye is backing a countermove to the mosque. He has emailed them and twittered them telling them his plans and their only response was that he should go ahead but it would not be conducive to dialogue..oh yeah? I bet there will be loads of dialogue if they go ahead. Greg s gasthering financial backers to build adjoining property with an Islamic Gay Bar. It will feature 72 Virgin non alcoholic drinks as Muslims do not drink alcohol. We will see how the Sharia law followers react to that. On another floor I think ythey were talking about serving Jewish? foods and one of his guests said she would financially support sa pork distributorship there also. I am going to tell them my choice for a name for this establishment..how about ""The Gay Porker"" oh hee hee..hoo ha...We need to put a monkey wrench in Islams plans to desecrate our cemetary of American dead and others. There is no way this is a benign application and once a mosque is up it is perpetual and will never be removed which is Islams plans for Americas acceptsance of sharia law for all and death to all other religions. Don't argue with me I know this is true and is in their permanent lans to take over the world with their bastard laws. Women your days of freedom are numbered with this evil religions potential.

While trying to stop building the mosque for biggoted reasons will fail I do think it is a good idea to have a full inquiry (even if behind the scenes) into the planning, mission statement and financial support for this project.
Who knows, maybe allowing Muslims to come out of the shadows and enlighten everyone on their real beliefs and integration into day to day american life might lead to a better understanding of their faith.
Shine the light, don't hide from it.
Paulwa- how would Jesus have advocated?

John Stewart talked about it on the Daily Show last night. The mosque is actually being moved into a vacant building two blocks from where the twin towers stood.
Seems silly to say they're violating hallowed ground in that location, and there's an existing mosque just 4 blocks from ground zero that was there before the twin towers were ever built.
The government has no business interfering with the free exercise of any religion, just as religion should not interfere with government.

Greg, Jesus would have told all Islamists to believe in Him because He is the only way to God and heaven and that they will be totally lost without His salvation. And He would say one day no mosques would stand on this earth. He would tell them to repent aznd follow Him.

Paulwa, if we all believed as you do we'd usher in a new variety of Christian tyranny that would rival the Inquision of the middle ages. I'm opposed to religious extremism and intolerance of EVERY form - both Islamic and Christian.

A Mosque near ground zero. My, my, someone is truly pushing some buttons in America. I wonder if they're trying to find the one that drives people over the edge.
I don't want to point any fingers but if civil war broke out there are people who would benefit from it. Would they use the media to stir the pot? Yup, they would.
