I don't eat meat, but I love beans and I do eat some fish. So, some of these salads look really good to me. I believe it is very important to eat a lot of greens and I don't understand that some people refuse to eat vegetables. We had a team dinner at work a few weeks ago and one of the guys was removing all the veggies from his plate before he started eating because he just doesn't like them he said. He referred to vegetables as being disgusting. He also happened to be the most unhealthiest looking guy at the table. I wonder why...
I'm laughing! I love veggies. A meal isn't complete unless I have a veggie with it. How are you doing? It is very hot here so am trying to be as low profile as possible. Take care........Mary
I used to love eating meat, but somehow I have become a vegetarian and my health has improved tremendously. It was a tough transition in the beginning because I had a lot of cravings for the comfort food meals I grew up with, like beef stews with Belgian beer, pork chops and chicken fricasee. But I am completely over it and the idea of eating meat is a complete turnoff to me now. I still remember that the first bites of a piece of steak tasted pretty good, but after a few chews all the flavorful juices are squeezed out and then you are stuck with a flavorless piece of meat in your mouth that you somehow still need to swallow. With a vegetable you have flavorful juices in your mouth till you are ready to swallow it. Maybe not everyone's experience, but at least that's mine.
