Dear Lola,

That's wonderful news, and you are very, very welcome!!!

You have no idea how happy I am to have been able to help you, in whatever small way that I have, and overjoyed to hear that you are feeling better now, and on the road to recovery, because that's what matters most of all.

I look forward to your continued improvement, and wish you all the best! <3 <3

setback i just vomited a bunch of liquid, lost my pain pill...

i guess given the severety of my nausea, the patch should be changed every 2 days, instead of 3.... what do you think, anita? i'm so sorry to bother you again ...

i will call the company to see if i qualify later on

I'm sorry that you're having a bad day

Changing the patch every 2 days will not help, because they don't lose strength every day. They work at full strength for 3 days, until they are completely used up. But you should check the patch to make sure that it hasn't come loose, not even a little bit, because if it comes loose, then it will stop working and have to be changed.

Some people need more than one medication to control their vomiting, for example the patch plus an oral medication.

I would call your doctor and ask him about "Zofran ODT", which is probably the most powerful anti-emetic on the market today, and has almost no side effects.

The Zofran ODT tablets dissolve in your mouth, and work quickly to control nausea and vomiting.

The combination of Scop patches and Zofran ODT, enters your body by 2 different routes, and each medicine works in a different way to control vomiting, so the combination is usually more reliable and effective than either one alone.

Call your doc and see what he says.

Be strong and hang in there Lola, you'll get this thing under control. <3 <3

Oh Lola.. I'm so sorry to hear about your problems.. I get very sick with pain meds even the over counter ones... I know exactly how you feel.

Anita that sounds like a great idea, I didn't know they had meds for nausea and vomiting.

Hang in there Lola.. Luv you girl

dear anita,

today i had to go see the nurse practinioner at my urologist office and got the call that the doctor ordered zofran and it was ready to be picked up at wal mart, where i fill my prescriptions.

WOW, is it expensive!!! i got a lecture from jay, my friend, that the next time, when i need to reach for something, call for help, because if i break another rib (s) he won't pay for expensive meds... i have told them a thousand times that it was in the middle of the night ad i didn't wanna wake up anybody, but he is stubborn.... oh well.

i have taken 2 so far and no vomiting. the test will be tomorrow, because i vomit liquids mostly in me dawn/morning.

i will report back to see what happens tomorrow... wish me luch, pls!!

I'm surprised and very disappointed that the assistance program wouldn't help you with the patches, and really can't understand their reason for saying no.

But I am glad that your doc agreed to try the zofran and that you were able to get it so quickly, and I have my fingers crossed, wishing you good luck and very positive results, and hoping for a good report from you tomorrow!!

I don't know if you want to try the program that the manufacturer of Zofran has, but they have one too, that your doctor's office can enroll you in, and Zofran definitely is one of the covered meds, but you would have to check on their other eligibility requirements to see if you qualify.

Their number is: 1-866-265-6491
And their website is: http://www.commitmenttoaccess.com/enrollment/how-to-enroll.html

Good luck and be well dear Lola <3 <3

Perfect! That's just what we want, one good day after another!

Now we just have to keep our fingers crossed that everything keeps working this well, and that you keep getting stronger day by day until you are all better and we can celebrate your complete recovery <3
