I was a Paramedic Firefighter and happened to meet wy wife when i was on a run to the Hospital- She was in a wheelchair wanted a cup of coffee but could not get it and all the Able bodied people acted like she was invisible,so i got it for her and one for myself and sat down and we started talking that of course led to us getting married she had no right Hip or Femur and i was like BFD you are still a wonderful woman and i don't care that you are in a wheelchair, and she said ever since she went into that chair guys would not talk to her period, let alone start a relationship.I was totally diffrent i saw her and not the chair, and thats how life should be,and she has since died and i am myself now disabled and in a chair and see first hand what she experienced all people see is the chair not you or your personality, your humor
none of that just the chair, its a sad thing for the Able bodied they are missing some truly great people.

Peace
