Welcome, Steve. I'm not male (I do live with disability) but I've several friends of past who were male and with disability. They easily fell for gals who were able-bodied if they simply paid them some kindness and attention. But I think that changes as you get more experience dating or just socializing. What do you mean by your thinking they really get you?

Well that isn't what I said but no one can deny you're a funny guy, greg.
I dunno, it was back in the 70's so maybe men (in general) are more evolved than they were then. I can immed. think of one example when my friend pulled up to the gas station pump and some gal got cute with him and wanted to fill his tank. He of course let her and then asked her for her name and if he could call her. It was CA. She accepted his request...they played some parcheezie, or some board game, hung out together and then shortly into the 'relationship' she gave him the 'friend' speech. Frustrating...I remember the conversation we had about dating...able bodied women. Like I say, greg,...maybe they're more evolved today. You're a man, greg, you tell me..do they still think its an opportunity to "jump her bones", as my friend put it, over something like an offer to pump gas?

I dunno, I quit jumping a while back. But back then, a little patience and some mind dancing and the playing field was usually pretty level. Although you can't ignore the physiology. When the brain is being formed, do you know what happens to the male vs the female brain? The male brain is flooded with 40 times the testosterone that the female brain is.

I dont understand what makes it different if they are able-bodied or whatever they are. A person is a person, and if the person is anything worth anything, that shouldnt even make a difference. I really dislike categorizing people and labels. If two people (get) each other, than the connection should be enough, if it is one sided, then you have a problem. Everyone has a disability, but the focus should be on the soul, nothing more. But the again, who the hell am I to advise anyone.. i am still learning the lessons in life. I wish you the best.
Edited for spelling, sorry aggravation sets in today)

and another thing, there shouldnt be any problem falling... either you do or you dont. It is something you can not help. and sure as hell something you can not stop, even if you hate it, dispise it with every part of you. once you fall .. your doomed I hope it works out for you.

What I meant to say (above) is that, if someone really cares for you then they see you for the person you are. It should not matter about anything else.
I hope things are working out for you, and as long as that person makes you smile your golden
