I am hoping for information on automatic wheelchair tie downs. Good or bad. Does the wheelchair brace drag? Is EZ Lock better or does someone else make a better tie down?
I used to have to use them for about 4 years.I am using a manual chair but when I was tied down they worked real good.My parents use to drive me around in a old transport van.And there were times when the brakes would be put on real heavy.Never moved as long as they were tight enough.
I got Retractable Ratchet Tie Downs. It is a built-in, high-tension spring mechanism automatically coils up the tie-down when not in use. Easy to use and tidy as well.
ez lock is standard tie-down if you're driving. the bolt hangs below the bracket. i got stuck on uneven asphalt once. i told the mod-ppl. they raised the bolt a lil' and the problem was solved.
