Just thought I would mention my favorite British tv comedy/drama/soap show. I would recommend 100 percent.Just try it from, episode 1 and I bet you will be hooked!! Promise. This is my favorite tv show of all time. Martin Clunes and Caroline Katz are superb actors and the writers of the scripts are just about perfect in their balance of comedy and drama. The scenery of Cornwall at Port Issacs is beautiful..man I would love to visit there. They have renamed the town..PortWen. It is a beautiful little fishing cove and town. Please have a look at this show. I think the whole seres except for the one they are presently filming is available on Youtube and many of them are on Hulu.com also. Let me know what you think of this show, please. Scan down to play Series 1,Episode 1, Part 1 to start..this is a wonderful beginning story for the series. Kind of like a warped Northern Exposure in Great Britain but the Doc is much better and interesting and Louissa would be the british Maggie, kind of similar love interests but better. I really wish you would give it a look.

im a old movie/show buff, but never saw doc martin
i dont care for british humor or movies with alot of accents, lol....

Try it you'll like it. The accents aren't too bad and you can get used to them very quickly. It is a great series. I don't like foreign movies either but this one I make a total exception and it has become my favorite that I have ever seen.

Not enough fighting? Did you watch the very first one of the series,Lazer? Where Doc is flying into PortWen for the first time and meets Louissa? Keeps looking at her eye and she gets up and moves to another seat? Later find she has glaucoma to her dismay when she thought he was just getting fresh.

i have tons of old tv and movie series i bought cheap thru the years, enough to last me years

Input Doc Martin on Youtube and you can see them all plus a bunch more of Martin Clunes including his movie 'Saving Grace'..pretty good flick also. He played in a comedy series also called 'Men behaving badly' but Doc Martin the series is my favorite of his. There is a DJ who calls himself Doc Martin also so you have to watch out for that.
Paradocs, let me know how you lke it. I love it. Try to find Season 1, Episode 1 to start and it will set the whole series up.

Here in washington it shows on our PBS tv station at 8pm pacifc time. It is on kind of hit or miss other days like late afternoon 4ishpm on PBS. Wish they would run it regular in series order but they don't and generally run the same episode throughout the week..sometimes two episodes back to back. Youtube is the best bet on your computer.

yeah, it's too bad that some good things don't last....... oh well
i am not familiar with hulu.com. i think i am kind of old fashioned, lol....... i like to watch TV on my TV, not on the computer!

Unfortunately, with a dial-up connection, downloading video is almost impossible. I'll have to wait until I visit someone with high speed.
I found this information on Wikipedia. It seems the show started off as a movie series and was changed to a continuing sitcom after the original production company folded.

As I said, trying to watch video with a dial-up connection doesn't work well, but for those who have high speed and want to watch things on Hulu, this download, endorsed by Kim Komando, might improve your experience. I haven't tried it but I have generally found her advice to be reliable.
