sweetqt sweetqt Member Registered: 06/13/07 Posts: 709	gone for a Upper GI Endoscopy? My general surgeon just called and wants to do one... and i am scared. Did it hurt? any info would be great, I am very nervous, as I have 3 kids.

Johnboy 64 Johnboy 64 Member Registered: 11/16/01 Posts: 15944 Loc: a nice place	yes, i had one. they were going to put me under till i got down to the o.r. they asked if i could stand a few seconds of uncomfort.. i said yes.. so they done the procedure after they gave me something to relax me then sprayed lydacaine(sp?) down my throat... stuck the lil scope down my throat.. was over in a few seconds and i went back to room. dont sweat it. its nothing _________________________ [IMG]http://justmypics.4t.com/johncowboy.jpg[IMG]

I had to go for a HIDA scan last week and i thought i was going to have an anxiety attack!!!! Thank you for taking the time to share that with me, that was very kind of you. Ya know, I dont think it is so much the test, but yet the unknown. The not knowing what is going on and what it could be. Ahh well, I am not going to think of it, .. till tomorrow!! Too much other things going on.
