Do you seriously think there is/was political knowledge to be gained on this messageboard?

No probably not but politics are a good excuse to yell at someone and settle old scores.

The only thing I've learned from political messageboards is that people really do think completely different liberal/conservative wise. Speaking of which, I am surprised at the b&w labeling of people as either of those political bents.

Discussing politics for me is mainly just fun. I don't have any "old scores" to settle and always found that aspect in threads to be damned irritating.

LOL, you must have missed my first, thoughtful response version (re critical thinking), I thought the second version would be more appealing.

not the it matters squat now but Wabi and I started our early, daily morning back and forth anew more or less clean slate. things would go off the rails when one of us got frustrated with the conversation.

btw, I have seen you, not too subtly, settle old scores

one cannot discount the prolific nature of wabi's posts.

it always amused me when he'd pat himself on the back for posting so much, offering it as evidence of his multitasking prowess, when i couldn't imagine anyone else wanting to post as often.

but that was always part of his style - the assurance of a comeback.

so Terry, overall, are you pro Wabi ban?

I guess it is probably for the best and once I work through the withdrawl and the feeling of loss I'll have to re-invent myself, yet again

In that case, I'd like you to point them out. I usually don't habor "old" things.

i'd like to think of myself as one opposed to censorship...but i do understand why NM was, perhaps, not the best place for wabi to sharpen his junior political commentator schtick.

although, in my tolerance for opposing views, he had grown to become like an old yacky uncle you wish would just shut up (at least for a moment). in the past, i was a little intriqued by his style, word choice, chick-like affinity for chatter, and possible kink...with the whole devo thing.

i think it unfortunate that even as small as NM has become, active member wise, we have never been more in the closet about any aspect of our lives that could be twisted out of shape by decaying minds.

i would like it if everyone got more personal...and open.

I'd like that also, but since I have devolved into a pretty adversarial SOB, past attemps of "sharing" have been fodder for my critics

maybe I just mistook your spirited comebacks with Michelle and others as something more

Americans just love to drop those important "u"s (harbour)

If I had my way it would always be discussion of the topic at hand. I have no need to bring up the past unless it pertains to the subject.

They have no power over you unless you allow it.

I'm afraid Terry is pretty much an open book...

my story is a simple one really...

i only meant 'personal' and 'open' in a context that would make a sight like this more useful to everyone. crips issues can brush dangerously close to one's core.
