1. Do you remember Wabi's silly hospital/morque expresssion?

2. Do you wonder why after a long absence Emma showed up when she did? Hint: It wasn't me.

3. Paulwa has ended up right where he belongs:

4. Ronda you are kinda correct. It wasn't all that hard to do.

5. I'm going to grant JB, Bob and Paulwa their wish.

I gotta go now.

certainly, some of those things are not ironic...'right where he belongs' is the opposite of irony, aye?

so who honestly believes that greg knew that, if he apologized, wabi would be a dick about it making emma disgusted enough to ban him? c'mon.

from the human rights angle, i agree. wabi's 'speech' should remain uncensored.

from the disability support magazine/message board angle, having a all-knowing devotee dominate ANY exchange he chooses is not good for business. NO ONE would come to this message board by way of the magazine hoping that a crip fetishist would call them a moron for expressing an opinion that doesn't match the great wabi, NO ONE.

what he couldn't dominate intellectually, he dominated through attrition. no one with ANYTHING to accomplish could match wabi post for post and it wouldn't have been necessarily healthy if they could.

wabi, deserves to have his big boomin' voice heard online, yes, but a crip support venue isn't the right place.

what we can hope for is that wabi and co. declare this a victory. they won. the board is nothing without them. game over.

maybe we can carry on with a whole lot less bullsh1t, fakers, lies, bullying, unapologetic attempts at character assassignation, game playing, pointless divisiveness...

Well from what I saw Gregstirred things up just as bad as Wabi and maybe worse at times. I don't know what drove either of them to it and don't care. I did see Wabi many many times try to drop things when Greg would not hear of it. I don't know what communication outside NM was going on simultaneousl or whether there even was any contact..but it seemed Greg allided to that going on.
1. I never wanted Wabi banned and his final jab just pushed Emma over the edge.
2. I don't think Greg should be banished either and if he leaves it is his choice. But I think from what I saw he was as culpable if not more than Wabi from my view. Like I say, I only know what I read.

I doubted the sincerity of greg's apology. this thread just proves the apoloy was not sincere... just part of his lil' game.

I could very well be wrong but I am glad he isn't here poluting every thread. I'm a Southern woman with a long memory and a leaning toward karmic justice.

If the group wants to ask for mercy on his behalf, I won't join in but I won't object.

Mercy?? BUUUUUUUUUULSHIIIT!! He deserves none. He had no business here and should have left years ago of his own accord.

This was inevitable given his ego, but he should not have put Mgt. in the position of having to give him the boot. The first time someone with a legit disability objected to his presence he should have done the right thing and left. I believe that first objection was shortly after he showed up in chat back in the 90's.

He did not have the character to leave - he enjoyed his devo games too much.

But like I said, if everyone else wants him back, I won't raise a stink even if he is the skunk.

Glad to know I am not the only one who wanted him gone that he hasn't run off.

No matter how you cut it, Wabi will declare it a "victory" for himself.

The only way WE lose is if he comes back.

Wabi's response to you in the "feedback" forum was the straw that broke the camel's back, Greg. I wouldn't be too quick to claim victory, though.

Remember Emma issued her warning to BOTH of you so I'm guessing she's still watching.

Oh! I took take the high road and
He took took the low road,
And I'll was in Scotland afore ye;
But alas, me and my true love
Will never meet again
On the bonnie, bonnie banks of Loch Lomond.

The wee birdie sang
And the wild flowers spring,
And in sunshine the waters are sleeping,
But the broken heart it kens
Nae second Spring again,
Tho' the waeful may cease frae their greeting.

But without Wabi to refute everything Greg (and Terry) ever said about joyt (and lie through his teeth while doing it), there will be nothing to watch.

Greg doesn't have a bone to pick with anybody else, that I'm aware of.

Greg,

You were as bad as he was. As others have said, he did himself in. Crowing that you did it just make you look smaller than him. Let sleeping dogs lie.

What in this thread justifies banning Greg?

Or is it that you just don't like him?

Greg, you are a POMPOUS ASS. What this was all about you stated on 6/26/09 in response to Flash:

Greg responded:

It was a friendship that could have grown, maybe into a relationship but I refused until you/Joy got your thing resolved. I have listened forever it seems to your lying BS. Now before I start telling tales, STFU.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

So, you got revenge. Flash (Wabi) got banned and, by some stroke of luck, you didn't (unless Emma rereads the locked down thread).

My reading of the stuff that hit the board leads me to conclude that you are never gonna get that relationship with Joy. So, bottom line, you are still THE LOSER in your competition with Wabi. They must be having a good laugh, at your expense, over on Kim's board, if that's where they hang out these days.

LOL @ Bob,

sorry to burst your bubble but I didn't want Wabi banned, I was upset with him and just figured enough fighting with him I'd vacate. Emma made her decision indedpendent of me.

I guess I'm just not the ladies man you are Bob.

Maybe if you hurry you can sign JB's petition

I don't think either of you devos should be banned, but the fact is that only one of you got it. On 3/24 you said you were leaving (another in a series of farewells), but here you are gloating about how you vanquished your rival.

I've said all along that I thought you both deserved equal treatment so no need to sign the petition.

liar, this must be like the tenth time here and at PQ you've whined about me not getting banned.

so your buddy Joy is gone, Wabi is now history, you post all nicey, nicey at PQ, if you convince Emma to ban me then you'll have no reason to drop by NM

maybe you should consider being friendly with your NM neighbours, remember we're all in this together

tell you what Bob, JB and other serious posters, lets let someone relatively impartial decide, I trust Flicka's sense of fair play, besides she is more of a friend to you all then to me. If Flicka thinks it fair I should be banned for my blow-up with Wabi then I will ask Emma myself to give me the boot, if she says I shouldn't be banned then you all hush about it.

Deal?

OK Flicka, adjudicate.

Flicka thinks for herself, I don't always agree w/her. You could always make good on the many many times you have announced that you were leaving.

No deal.

no, the stupid post by Flash on Emma's lockdown explanation precipitated the ban. However it was really the rivalry, between Greg and Flash, for Joy's favor that was the real cause. From what I've read on the board, Flash won and Greg was less than a gracious loser.

i think a win/lose description of it is an over-simplification.

unless you've taken the joyride, you probably don't grasp the full impact.

liar, this must be like the tenth time here and at PQ you've whined about me not getting banned.

so your buddy Joy is gone, Wabi is now history, you post all nicey, nicey at PQ, if you convince Emma to ban me then you'll have no reason to drop by NM

maybe you should consider being friendly with your NM neighbours, remember we're all in this together

all i gave was an opinion, not whining.
my buddy joy and wabi... joy apologized and has so far stuck by that apology, unlike you.. that does not make us buddies, think what you like. wabi and i have gone back and fourth...

i would never try to convince emma of bannng anyone. i think thats what you done to wabi.. baited him then cried to the ref.

as far the pq/nm comparison goes, pq is just friendly atmosphere, period.

your opinion over and over and over again

Bait Wabi? give me a break. Educate yourself, go back and read the locked thread from the start. It was a hard knuckle left/right discussion until it got derailed. There was no "baiting".

Cried to the ref? Get your facts staight. Wabi and I had a raucous argument where he got me steamed. Emma showed up and told us to stop, I did and apologized and STFU. Wabi, being Wabi, had to have the last word. That is what got him banned. And in case you didn't get my irony comment it wasn't me that got Emma to check in, but it might, however, have been a "friend" of his.

I was actually suprised and disappointed that Wabi got banned.

I accept that you and Bob want to exploit this situation to settle a score with me but try at least to stick to the facts.

Greg --

It is now time to STFU.

This message board is now Wabi-less, not because of you. Because of HIM.

Now let's move on before this message board becomes Greg-less.

why not just revel in the dysfunctionality of it all?

what I learned today at stock school: in 2009, what was the fastest growing and most profitable group of drugs? nope, not antidepressants, that is so yesterday, it's antipsychotics!!!!

Hateful is a term you might use to describe it, not I, heated is better. I can understand how, when viewed from a PQ perspective, you might see it that way. I guess one PQ isn't enough for some. Bird dogging and tag on are back in vogue. Independent thinking has gone bye, bye.

I will miss exploring issues from a variety of perspectives.
All indications are discussions here will now be limited to veiled accusations, "clever" comebacks and narrow minded attitudes.

My interest is quickly waning.

Devestated, power? LOL You got to tone down the superlatives. Subtle innuendo is more your schtick. Point, counterpoint with Wabi was like a Thursday night at the university pub, now it's back down to the neighbour's basement. Debating the narrow minded just doesn't hold any interest for me.

you're missing the point, they're liberals (even though Terry won't admit it) ergo, no counterpoint. I am looking for a spirited debate, band wagons don't interest me. combine that with your incipient whining, sorry "opinion" and bird dogging and it adds up to blahsville.

Symantics? interesting, for me sound bites demonstrate one lacks conviction or is just posting for show, you may know what you are implying but others may not, context adds colour and depth, have you ever really listened to Obama speak?

but stick with your one liners, I guess it suits your style

There are plenty of them out there.

thursday at the university pub mixed in with a HEAVY dose of the movie 'groundhog's day.' i guess you can call anything you want stimulating or intellectual. from where i sit, the political debates here seemed more like being on a treadmill than an opportunity to experience broadminded relevation or innovation. so much of it conformed to the mainstream media perspectives. idk.

but to debunk mainstream media is a good thing, no? without though, just becoming a paranoid, narrow minded, boogeyman, conspiratorist freak

take for example the whole contrived, manufactured climategate BS which for someone who works in the field I do had dire consequences

or the pimp/prostitute Acorn dog and pony show

amusing how when the "rest of the story" is brought into the light of day, the dickwads from the likes of Fox never go back and correct the record.

"the political debates here seemed more like being on a treadmill than an opportunity to experience broadminded relevation or innovation"

knowledge comes in small revelations to the curious and very small revelations to the spectator, at least it works that way for me

The only thing I've learned from political messageboards is that people really do think completely different liberal/conservative wise. Speaking of which, I am surprised at the b&w labeling of people as either of those political bents.

Discussing politics for me is mainly just fun. I don't have any "old scores" to settle and always found that aspect in threads to be damned irritating.

LOL, you must have missed my first, thoughtful response version (re critical thinking), I thought the second version would be more appealing.

not the it matters squat now but Wabi and I started our early, daily morning back and forth anew more or less clean slate. things would go off the rails when one of us got frustrated with the conversation.

btw, I have seen you, not too subtly, settle old scores

one cannot discount the prolific nature of wabi's posts.

it always amused me when he'd pat himself on the back for posting so much, offering it as evidence of his multitasking prowess, when i couldn't imagine anyone else wanting to post as often.

but that was always part of his style - the assurance of a comeback.

In that case, I'd like you to point them out. I usually don't habor "old" things.

i'd like to think of myself as one opposed to censorship...but i do understand why NM was, perhaps, not the best place for wabi to sharpen his junior political commentator schtick.

although, in my tolerance for opposing views, he had grown to become like an old yacky uncle you wish would just shut up (at least for a moment). in the past, i was a little intriqued by his style, word choice, chick-like affinity for chatter, and possible kink...with the whole devo thing.

i think it unfortunate that even as small as NM has become, active member wise, we have never been more in the closet about any aspect of our lives that could be twisted out of shape by decaying minds.

i would like it if everyone got more personal...and open.

I'd like that also, but since I have devolved into a pretty adversarial SOB, past attemps of "sharing" have been fodder for my critics

maybe I just mistook your spirited comebacks with Michelle and others as something more

Americans just love to drop those important "u"s (harbour)

If I had my way it would always be discussion of the topic at hand. I have no need to bring up the past unless it pertains to the subject.

They have no power over you unless you allow it.

my story is a simple one really...

i only meant 'personal' and 'open' in a context that would make a sight like this more useful to everyone. crips issues can brush dangerously close to one's core.
