During my first rehab experience that took place in Englewood, CO, at Craig Hospital, they taught us to approach a hill this same way in our chairs. If you cannot climb it straight...or want to cut down on over-taxing your muscles, then aim horizontally across the incline, then at a wide enough range, turn round, and cut back across it..back and forth, til you get to the top. I actually need to do this outside of my uro's office and other places as well.
