Hello,
My name is Rob and I've been fixing wheelchairs professionally for over 20 years (you may know me) in the LA and Portland Area.
For as long as I've been doing this, I've heard my clients ask
for some kind of light that is affordable (since funding is out of the question) Also one that won't drain the batteries.
Well, I think I've built it, but I don't want to break any
forum rules here by advertising, so I guess I will leave my e-mail
address here for anyone that might be interested.
robert@thelightowl.com Hope to talk to you soon,

Rob

The website states the price is $69.95 which includes a one year warranty. Not too expensive (IMHO).

not bad at all. seeing that i already have headlights, taillights, and turn signals ihave no need to get one. now, if i didnt have lights i would have one in a heartbeat, very cool design!

Lazer,

Valid concerns, however, the goose neck section would snap apart
well before any damage might occur to the charger port, and if that happened it would be a "snap" to put it back together (literally).

And the light you can buy on ebay has only two problems that I can see, first, it requires batteries, (4 AAA) which will get you
150 hours use. The Light Owl will last approx 20,000 hours with
no batteries needed. You do the math...no? ok, you would have to purchase over 500 AAA batteries provided your LED lasts as long.

Second, the ebay light does not have a swivel that I can tell,
meaning you would need to turn your chair instead of just the light to illuminate what you're looking at.

its a good idea rob, but most dis are poor and cant afford $60

im posting cheap under $10 alternatives....... 150 hours is battery life, not flashlight life, and it would take a long time to use 150 hours, lol

with swivel head $5 http://cgi.ebay.com/LED-Flashlight-Swive...=item414cc8662b
