Has anyone been on a cruise before? I am looking for info on what may be accessible or not for me. I know they have accessible rooms but what about everything else? I am a T-7,8 para. I appreciate any input. I am going later in the year but just want to be prepared!
I wouldn't mind taking a cruise too but I would have to take my little dog with us and I doubt they allow animals on cruises. He is always on leash when outside and he definately would be cruising on water. Paul
I don't know about pets. I did see where one line allows service animals, though. It would be nice if they allowed pets, too. I have a English bulldog that would love going. Unfortunately, I will have to leave her with my son.
Went on a cruise in 2008. Going on another this August. It has been pretty easy traveling. Had a room at the back of the boat. It was beautiful but hard to get to. It was not easy pushing on the corrider rug and not a wide hallway and ther was allways something in the hallway. However found the ship in general to be very accessible. Except for the pool. No lift or ramp. But did not want to swim with the kids. This next trip is to Alaska. We are on the side of the boat closer to the elevators. Have also found a helicopter trip that is wheelchair accessible. Will transfer to the seat and it lifts me up into the celicopter. We are going to land on a glacier. I can not get off but that is ok. Just going is worth it. Cruises are great. Reccomend them to everyone. mary
