“REUBEN ROMERO’S OUT & ABOUT,” was originally conceived and performed
in the fall of 2002 as an Internet radio program. The show was hosted by the late REUBEN ROMERO, a high-level quadriplegic of 39 ye! ars. Reuben spent his life working to establish a voice that would champion healthcare reform and equal treatment for those living with and affected by disability.

After recording two pilot episodes of “Out & About” in 2003, Reuben was
featured in a special interest story and follow-up article in the ARIZONA REPUBLIC written by Radio Critic KEN LAFAVE. Although Reuben passed away after a lengthy hospitalization in 2004, his spirit, strength, and message live through this project. “Reuben Romero’s Out & About” is hosted by nephew RICK “R.V.” ROMERO, and produced by nephew CRISTOFER ROMERO, and brother RICHARD ROMERO, SR. The program features an upbeat “Tonight Show” format, which includes interviews,
news, inspirational stories, location reporting, call-in segments, comedy sketches, and musical performances. FINIS PRODUCTIONS is delighted to be part of the KFNX 1100 lineup and to have the opportunity to improve awareness of disability and healthcare relate! d issues by creative uses of media.
